The Intensity of 4.75

Man has it been hard to blog lately. I just don't have the mental energy to assemble a post. My thoughts are fragmented...what topic should I write about? Adoption progress? Preschool? Photography? The winter blahs? See? I can't really find a direction. Part of this is because SO MUCH is going on at one time. That plus the fact that the kids are awake and raring to go from 7:30am to 7:30pm with little to no down time unless I resort to using TV as a sedative.

I don't have any pictures to post because my camera is currently out of commission.

I have a lot to say about the topic of adoption, but we will know more after the 27th if we should get our hopes up or not.

Preschool is going great. I wish the kids were there 5 hours a day. They love everything about school, their teachers and their classmates. They are loving learning...it is hard to keep up with them!

I have been busy with volunteer work, shuttling the kids to school, attending adoption training classes, helping out a friend who just went through a huge loss and battling tracheitis and bronchitis for the past 12 days (this followed Jonathan having the stomach flu for 4 days.) I haven't been able to exercise for 15 days and it is driving me crazy!

Jay and I also were able to take the kids out on our annual Valentine's day date, which was fun. Jonathan and I went to his restaurant of choice (Aladdin's.) We had a nice conversation: I was asking him lots of questions about what he thought he wanted to do when he grows up, what kind of girl he would want to marry, etc. He told me that he wants to marry someone who looks like me (so sweet!) and asked if I would help him find his wife! Then I asked him if he had anything he wanted to talk about and he said after a moment of thought, "Yeah, what do you think Heaven is going to be like?"

After our dinner, and after Jay and Faith finished their dinner date, we all went to Bounce U. Jonathan was disappointed that his wheezing, coughing and barely breathing mom wouldn't bounce with him, but he and Faith seemed to have a good time together. I did do a couple of slides with him which were so fun but I really couldn't catch my breath afterwards.

A few other things to note: On February 23rd Jay and I will be celebrating our 10 year anniversary of meeting! We are really hoping to snag a dinner date even though Jay is extremely busy at work right now.

Faith has her first birthday party to go to tomorrow of a classmate. It is a girls-only party and she is really excited to go.

Faith has been sneaking up to my room early in the morning and leaving me her special blankies to help me feel better.

Faith has decided she LOVES rock climbing and she climbed to the top of the 24 foot rock wall at the science center three times in her rain boots!

Jonathan is the best kid ever to deal with the stomach flu. So sweet, so pleasant, so pleased that we let him have ginger ale. If only he handled head colds as well!

Jonathan has been so kind to me since I have been sick. He keeps saying "I am sorry you are so sick Mama."

Well, that's it for tonight! Glad to get a few of my rambling thought down because they don't stay in my mind for very long these days!
