Jonathan and Faith have begun taking gymnastics lessons. It is going so-so. SO WELL for Jonathan, SO NOT AT ALL for Faith. Note Faith curled up on the floor while Jonathan learns a skill.
This was their second class, and like the first, Faith decided to only watch. I actually asked the teacher to try to make her do some things, knowing that if she did it once she would most likely have the confidence to do it again. Every time the teacher picked her up and forced her to do something, she cried. Jonathan would hug her, she would stop crying, and continue watching. Over and over again.
But the big finale of the class was Faith voluntarily walking along the bars. We cheered for her when she was done and she seemed very proud of herself. Two lessons down, ten to go. Hoping for a little more participation from Faith, but it won't be the end of the world if she totally hates it.
Jonathan, on the other hand, has this look of exuberant awe the whole time. It's like he is thinking "I can't believe I am allowed to do this and no one is yelling at me to slow down, get down, or stop!" He is in little boy heaven.
